Tarot consists of 78 cards . They are subdivided into 2 groups: 1)Big Arcans – 22 cards, 2)Small Arcans – 56 cards. The number 56 is connected with the stteps of Buddha. After he was born he took 7 steps forward and 7 steps backward, in the direction of each cardinal point. The small arcans have 4 suits like in regular playing cards: trumps-batons-fire, hearts-bowl-water, spades-sword-air, diamonds-pentacle-ground. There are 14 cards in each suit and they are divided into 4 royal cards: King, Page , Knight, Queen and 10 scoring cards: Ace, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10.
The Metatrone's Cube is a voluminous figure consisting of 13 spheres. Each sphere has its own number which corresponds to the Maya Calendar.
The Sphere 1 is positioned in the center. The rest of the spheres are distributed in the directions:
3, 9 forward
7, 13 to the right
6, 12 backward
4, 10 to the left
5, 11 to the top
2, 8 down to the bottom
The given configuration is proper for an octahedron. Each of these spheres are connected between themselves with lines – the number of these connections are 78, in accordance with the number of the Tarot cards. These lines (connections) can be divided into 5 groups:
1. Lines of the front direction
2. Lines of the rear direction
3. Lines of the left direction
4. Lines of the right direction
5. Lines of the vertical direction
The given classification correlates with the 5 basic elements. Fire, water, air, ground are represented by the horizontal directions – the small arcans, and ether is the vertical directions – the big arcans. We group the lines into the vertical and the horizontal ones according to the following principles:
Horizontal
- the horizontal sphere is joined with the vertical or central sphere
- two horizontal spheres are joined.
Each sphere has its own weight. The closer the sphere is located to the center, the lighter its weight is. In our case that direction is chosen whose sphere has a bigger weight.
Vertical
- the vertical sphere is joined with the central sphere
- the vertical sphere is joined with the vertical sphere
- the horizontal sphere is joined with the horizontal sphere under the condition that both their weights are equal.
We may write down the results of this classification into the table.
If we calculate the number of the directions 1, 2, 3,
4 the result we are going to obtain will look like this:
1 – 14 lines, 2 – 14 lines, 3 – 14 lines, 4 – 14 lines. It is fairly noticeable the equality of the number of the lines and the number of the cards of the Small Arcan.
Small Arcans
When we study the 14 lines of each direction we can see that 4 of these lines have the connection of the «heavy-weight horizontal sphere – light-weight horizontal sphere» type. That is what they call Royal Small Arcans (King, Page, Queen, Knight).
The Aces are the roots of the elements. The «horizontal sphere – central sphere» lines correspond with them. The rest of the scoring cards are of the « horizontal sphere – vertical sphere» type. Each suit is correlated with the certain basic element. The presented cards have the Indian basic elements tattvas painted inside the spheres.
Big Arcans
There are 22 cards in the Big Arcans. In the Cabbala they are correlated with the numbers: 1-1* 2-2 3-3* 4-4 5-5* 6-6 7-7* 8-8 9-9* 10-1* 11-2 12-3* 13-4 14-5* 15-6 16-7* 17-8 18-9* 19-1* '20-2 21-3* 22-4
The odd numbers are marked with * 12, the even numbers 10. It conforms with the 12 earthly branches and 10 celestial stems in the Chinese Astrology and Fan-Shui. When we look closely at the cards of the Big Arcans (there are writings underneath) we will see 12 cards of the « horizontal sphere - horizontal sphere – earthly branches» type and 10 cards of the «vertical sphere - vertical sphere – celestial stems» type. This information makes it possible for us to see that the Metatrone's Cube structure and the structure of Tarot are identical. When the information or the energy is flowing in one direction this card is in its regular position. When the flow is moving in the opposite direction it means that the card is put upside down (the contrary interpretation).
Each basic element is correlated with the 5 senses (sound, smell, color, touch, taste). The 13 spheres of the Metatrone's Cube correspond to the Zodiac signs and the Astrological houses. Thus, the Metatrone's Cube's each line represents an astrological formula of an event.
If the energy is flowing one way this is a positive event and if it is flowing in the opposite direction it means the negative event.
